It’s in her smile and the twinkle in her eyes, but most of all, it’s in her stories. They tumble out like a waterfall, one after another; even DeMarchis acknowledges, “There are just so many stories!” 

What makes these stories powerful?

Almost every one of them focuses on helping someone else. 

From the very beginning, DeMarchis has had a heart for helping. When she launched Matilda Jane Clothing in 2003, her plan included giving to others. 

“Giving is important,” she emphasized to her new business partners.

Where does she give? 

“Everywhere!” she exclaims. “Anyplace is fair game.

Anytime I have a chance to help by raising money, I do it.”
